THE MS for Ynys Môn and Leader of Plaid Cymru has hailed the Anglesey Show as 'an opportunity to celebrate' the fantastic community of the island.
The two-day event, at the Mona Showground, has become one of the island's biggest annual shows over the years and attracts about 50,000 people on average.
This year visitors have been treated to fantastic displays of livestock, local produce, arts and crafts, and, of course, a host of equestrian events.
And while the weather was poor for day one, day two provided some glorious sunshine on the showground.
The dog show was once again a highlight of the day, along with the judging of the horses, beef cattle, Hill breeds of sheep and the pigs.

The Grand Parade and Dressage To Music events were scheduled to provide an unforgettable end to this year's spectacle.
Entertainment at 'Y Cowt' on site included performances from the likes of Brodyr Magee, Hogia Bodwrog and Y Moniars.
In an added bonus for this year's show - guests were also treated to an RAF Flypast involving two Texan TMk1 aircraft of 72(F) Squadron. This flypast will be performed today as well at about 3.30pm.
Talking about the importance of the Sioe Mon/Anglesey Show, Rhun ap Iorwerth, Member of the Senedd for Ynys Môn and Leader of Plaid Cymru said: “It’s great to be back at Sioe Môn this year - it really is the pinnacle event in our calendar, and an opportunity to celebrate our fantastic community on Ynys Môn and all it has to offer.
“Thousands of people have been making the trip to Mona during these two days - to compete with their livestock and produce, to spectate and to enjoy all of the fantastic food, drink and attractions.
"It's a shop window for our local businesses, and I thank the hardworking show team and volunteers for their tireless work in making each 'Primin' better than the last.”
