THE WEATHER didn't stop the fun from unfolding as the Sioe Mon/Anglesey Show made its return today (August 15).
The two-day event has become one of the island's biggest annual shows down the years and attracts around 50,000 people on average.
Held at the Mona Showground, the show is a great day out for the whole family right in the heart of the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.
As always, this year visitors can expect to see fantastic displays of livestock, discover great local produce, arts and crafts, and, of course, take a ringside seat for a host of equestrian events.
Guests can also browse a wide range of trade stands showcasing everything from farm machinery to country pursuit and get up close to a host of vintage vehicles thanks to the Anglesey Vintage Equipment Society.
Also back for 2023 is the family entertainment area 'Y Cowt' which provides family activities and music throughout the day.
Despite the continuous downpour of rain throughout the day on the island, the first day on Tuesday (August 15), provided plenty for the crowds to enjoy.

As always, one of the higlights of the day was the dog show which pits some of the island's most wonderful furry companions against one another for prizes such as 'Loveliest Lady' and 'Most Fabulous Fella'.
There was also the judging of horses, dairy cattle, pigs and lowland sheep, as well as a stunning display of 'Machinery Through The Ages' at 3pm.
The highly-anticipated Grand Parade took place from 4pm.
Guests were also treated to an RAF Flypast involving two Texan TMk1 aircraft of 72(F) Squadron at around 3.30pm.
Meanwhile, the aforementioned 'Y Cowt' will be lively until this evening with the likes of DJ Jema Owen, Calfari and Bwncath keeping the party going.
Day two of the show on Wednesday (August 16) promises another day full of fun for all the family.
Ynys Mon MP Virginia Crosbie was in attendance at the show today.
Commenting, she said: "I would like to thank the farming minister for coming to the Anglesey Show and for spending so much time here speaking to so many people.
"I know the NFU, FUW, livestock keepers, Mona Dairy, Mona Tractors and the organisers of the show all very much appreciated him coming.
"The Anglesey Show exemplifies everything that is great about our island. It was an honour to attend, as always, and to show the minister all that is quite brilliant about us.
"Many, many thanks to the Show organisers for the warm welcome and for making this year’s event so special."
