LIFESAVERS launched to rescue a man who had become seperated from his kayak.
A family onboard a leisure craft has spotted the man in trouble off Holyhead coast.
A spokesperson from RNLI Holyhead Lifeboat Station said: "Our inshore lifeboat (ILB) was called out on Friday, July 21, when a kayaker got into difficulty in Penrhos Bay.
"Volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard just after 3pm and launched within a few minutes. They headed immediately to the scene, where they found a lone kayaker, who had been separated from his kayak in deeper waters, an ebbing tide and offshore winds. He was being assisted by a neighbouring leisure craft with a family on board, who had spotted the man in trouble.

"HM Coastguard were informed of the kayaker’s wellbeing, before he was assisted to the shore along with his craft.
"He was then passed over to the volunteer cliff rescue team, who had also been called."
Mark Wade, ILB Helm, said the kayaker was "well-equipped" and thanked the neighbouring craft for assisting him "so quickly".
