WILDLIFE in an area of Anglesey was the focus of a segment of the BBC’s Springwatch programme.
Presenter Gillian Burke travelled to Church Island in the Menai Strait to explore the wonderful wildlife that thrives in the area.
Her trip also featured a demonstration on ocean currents provided by Bangor University, where its School of Ocean Sciences undertake a great deal of research.
During the segment, we learn that the tidal current at the Menai Strait helps bring valuable nutrients to the area's marine life from as far as the Atlantic Ocean.
