A ROAD in Anglesey has been closed because of an ongoing fire in the area.
Chapel Street in Gaerwen, between the A5 and Lon Groes, has been closed as emergency services deal with the incident.
It is likely to be closed for some time, and people have been told to avoid the area for the surrounding roads to be kept clear.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Chapel Street in Gaerwen between the A5 and Lon Groes is currently closed due to an ongoing fire incident.
"It is likely to be closed for a while.
"Please avoid the area if possible as this is ongoing so the surrounding roads need to be kept clear."
A North Wales Fire and Service spokesperson said: "Crews are currently in attendance at a fire on Chapel Street, Gaerwen - people are asked to keep away from the area and local residents are asked to close windows and doors due to smoke in the area."
