COMMUNITY retailer, The Original Factory Shop (TOFS), is set to open its new Bangor premises on June 3, expanding its store portfolio to 184 and creating nine jobs in the process.
The discount department store will be situated at The Menai Centre and will see the retailer bring its range of bargain-based clothing, pet products, electricals, homewares, a party shop service and reserve and collect to Bangor customers and residents.
Brands stocked at the store will include the likes of Christian Lacroix, Adidas, Russell Hobbs, Clinique and Olay.
Regional business development manager, Tom Houlton, said: “TOFS is a national business made up of over 180 local businesses, so we’re really excited to be coming to Bangor and serving the local community.
“Our store will be run by local people in the heart of Bangor and we’ve started recruiting for nine job positions and are keen to hear from candidates so that we’re ready to start serving up big bargains when the new store opens on June 3.”
Rob Lloyd, chief executive of Bearmont Group and landlord of The Menai Centre, expressed his delight at the addition of TOFS.
He added: "We are thrilled to welcome TOFS to The Menai Centre and the Bangor community.
“Our immediate focus for the centre has been to attract new tenants and offer competitive deals while exploring new ideas to make the shopping experience more appealing for the local community and visitors.
“This expansion not only enriches the shopping experience for our valued customers but also brings new employment opportunities to the area."
TOFS will open on June 3, and will be located at unit four of The Menai Centre.
