UNION Jack bunting is being handed out to residents on Anglesey planning to celebrate the King's Coronation.

Virginia Crosbie, MP for Ynys Môn, has purchased the bunting out of her own funds.

She hopes to give away 156 packs of Union Jack bunting to schools, organisations, charities and businesses.

Ms Crosbie said: "I have bought this bunting out of my own funds to help the island get into the swing of this historic occasion.

“Anglesey is a place with strong royal connections including the now Prince and Princess of Wales living here when the prince was a rescue helicopter pilot.

“I know there are many monarchists on Ynys Môn who want to celebrate our new head of state on one of the biggest days this country has seen for many decades.

“If you think this bunting would help with the festivities and send a message of support to the new king, then please do get in touch."

The 10-metre-long bunting has 20 flags on it.

Anyone who would like a pack should email Ms Crosbie at virginia.crosbie.mp@parliament.uk
