NEW team members have joined the expanding Low Carbon Energy Team at Ambition North Wales as they look to give the sector a boost in North Wales.
Both Danial Ellis Evans and Rhianne Massin moved to the area from Cardiff and have taken up their posts as energy project officers.
They will be supporting and delivering local area energy planning schemes and the regional energy strategy, aiming to tackle climate change, by promoting innovation in the industry in North Wales.
Rhianne Massin, originally from Exeter, had lived in Cardiff for seven years.
She said: “This job has given me the opportunity to begin my career in the renewable energy and sustainability sector.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity and the work that Ambition North Wales is doing is very inspiring. I can’t wait to get started.”

Rhianne hasn’t looked back since she and her partner decided to move to North Wales.
She added: “I had some reservations about moving to a relatively remote area, as I’ve always lived in a city, but I’m loving my time here. There’s so much to do, and so many places to explore.”
“There’s a real sense of community that you don’t often get in the city, which I find extremely exciting.
“I’m also learning Welsh, and I take great pride in my Welsh roots as I have family from this area.”
Danial Ellis Evans had been living in Cardiff for two years but is originally from Llangefni, Anglesey.
He decided to move back to the area after seeing the opportunities that Ambition North Wales had to offer, and now lives in Llandudno Junction.
He said: “There’s a feeling of comfort I get when I’m in North Wales, it’s home. This area is familiar to me but by moving to Llandudno rather than back to Anglesey it also feels like a new adventure.
“The renewable energy industry in North Wales is developing at a significant pace and I’m looking forward to learning more about the sector here.
“We’ve got a fantastic team here at Ambition North Wales and I can’t wait to start working on different projects with the team and to make a difference.
“We have the potential to be a powerhouse within the sector worldwide, so it is an interesting time to be living and working here, and I’m thrilled that I’ve decided to move back.”
Both Danial and Rhianne were also keen to emphasise some of the opportunities that North Wales has to offer.
“As a local, I know first-hand the incredible natural beauty that North Wales has to offer,” said Danial.
“It also offers so many opportunities for young people like us who are looking to develop careers . There’s a real sense of pride here, and you can build connections quickly here in North Wales.”
Rhianne added: “It's a great place to push yourself and immerse yourself in the culture. There are a variety of job opportunities in the region.”
Both agreed that North Wales is also a great location to pursue different business opportunities with a growing economy and a supportive community.
Danial added: "There's a lot of innovation happening here, and I’m really looking forward to being a part of the developments and to gain different experiences across the region.”
