AN ANGLESEY hotel overlooking the Menai Strait is due to re-open in April following a multi-million-pound revamp.
The Victoria hotel and restaurant, part of the Chef & Brewer Collection, will reopen on Wednesday, April 12.
Guests will be able to see the results of the transformation, which has seen the whole of the building inside and out refurbished to the highest of standards.
General manager, Adam Cook, said the hotel was looking incredible and everyone was very excited about the opening.
“The Victoria has a rich history, being perched on this wonderful location overlooking the Menai Strait since the 1800s, and April 12 will signify the beginning of the next chapter,” he said.
“Many of the team have worked here for years, and to say they are excited about the refurbishment is an understatement.
“The interior has been beautifully designed, with superb quality fixtures and fittings throughout, and the gardens look simply magnificent.
“The whole place has been transformed, whilst maintaining the special character of The Victoria, and we can’t wait to welcome people back through the door.”
The opening will be marked by a “community hero” cutting the ribbon - and people can make nominations now using The Victoria’s Facebook or Instagram pages.
Adam added: “The Victoria will very much remain the hub of Menai Bridge as it always was, and we are keen to involve local residents in the opening, which is why we are on the look-out for a community hero to cut the ribbon and enjoy some hospitality on us.
“It could be anyone who makes a difference to the lives of people here in Menai Bridge - whether through running a club or simply being a good neighbour - and we are asking people to make suggestions on our social media pages.
“The opening on April 12 is going to be a very special day for all of us, and we are really looking forward to sharing it with friends and locals here in Menai Bridge.”
The Victoria closed for refurbishment work in October 2022 and is a new addition to Greene King’s Chef & Brewer collection of country pubs.
