A WALKER stranded on Yr Wyddfa's East ridge has been rescued.
Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team were called out on Thursday evening (March 9) to assist the climber who had ventured off the Watkin path in poor weather.
The rescue team posted on Facebook: "The first team reached the walker around 11.30pm sheltering in his group shelter and warm layers. The casualty was very cold so was insulated with a Blizzard Protection Systems jacket before being roped to the summit."
Walkers, heading up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), are being advised to prepared for situations.
The mountain rescue team added: "Particularly in winter is essential.
"Carrying extra layers, a group shelter and plenty of food can really save your life in the mountains."
