A RESTAURANT in Caernarfon has been won an award at the inaugural Nation’s Curry Awards.

Curry Scene, on Bangor Street, was named the Curry Restaurant of the Year for Wales, one of only two winners in North Wales.

Llanrwst’s Ty Asha Balti House won the award for Indian Restaurant of the Year for Wales, while a third Welsh winner was in Barry.

The Caernarfon eatery enjoys a stellar reputation, with a TripAdvisor rating of 4.5 based off 341 reviews.

In a social media post, Curry Scene responded to the award win saying: "We are delighted to announce that we have won The Curry Restaurant of the Year Wales!

“I would like to thank everyone in our talented team at Curry Scene - Caernarfon and a special thank you from the bottom of our hearts for our lovely loyal customers who have been with us since the beginning and have continued to show us support throughout. Onwards and upwards."
