A CRASH in Gwynedd this afternoon (February 20) has left a road likely to be closed for some time.
This involved a single vehicle, and was on Bangor Road in Bethesda, on the A5.
Police have urged motorists to avoid the area for the time being.
North Wales Police said: "A5 Bangor Road, Bethesda is expected to be closed for some time due to a road traffic collision.
"Closed from Bryn Dela crossroads to Pontwr crossroads.
"Officers will be diverting traffic through Tregarth.
"Please avoid the area."
A police spokesperson later added: "We were called shortly before 3pm today to report a single-vehicle collision on the A5 at Bangor Road, Bethesda.
"Emergency services are in attendance to divert traffic whilst the road is closed and to arrange recovery for the vehicle.
"We are asking the public to avoid the area for the time being. There is a diversion in place."
