AN Anglesey cider impressed presenters and guests alike after being featured on the Channel 4 morning show Sunday Brunch.
In a segment of the show showcasing some of the best ciders in Wales ahead of St David’s Day, Jaspels Anglesey Craft Cider was one of three selections to leave guests wanting more.
The cider was selected by Gabe Cook, also known as The Ciderologist, an enthusiast who travels around the world to inform, critique and write and present about ciders.

Appearing alongside presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, The Ciderologist said of Anglesey’s finest cider: “This is made of a blend of traditional cider apples, but with some wonderful late-season Cox's Orange Pippin, and some Egremont Russet providing a little bit of juiciness and nuttiness.
“It’s got a bit of sweetness in it so it’s slightly almost cinnamon-y, vanilla-y – six per cent alcohol, very smooth.
“Really aromatic, largely from the Egremont Russet, it’s really perfumed, really bold, it’s lush.”
The woodland cider proved the biggest hit with guests, with some comparing it to wine, in what is a major step for cider-producing in the region.
In response, Jaspels said via social media: “Well, that was amazing!
“We loved seeing our woodland cider on Sunday Brunch TV chosen by The Ciderologist - Iechyd da.”
