A WOMAN from Bethesda was sentenced to 18 weeks’ imprisonment for shoplifting, criminal damage to police property and public order.
Bethan Rawes, 39, was arrested on February 12 following reports that she had attempted stealing from Tesco Express in Bethesda and being verbally abusive towards staff.
Upon arrest, Rawes repeatedly spat in a police vehicle and custody cell, causing damage to both.
She was later charged with the offences, and was yesterday (February 13) sentenced to 18 weeks in custody.
