AN independent vet practice has opened in Bangor, after the owner struggled to get her own dogs cared for and treated in the area.
Parc Vetcare, at Parc Menai, is a small animal practice set up by veterinary nurse Deborah.
Deborah owns 19 rescue dogs, but had struggled to find an independent practice in the area, that could offer a high standard of care at affordable prices.
So she decided to start her own, and now works with a large team which includes two full time vets, three registered veterinary nurses, and four receptionists.
The site also has a training practice for veterinary nursing assistants, which currently has two students, with further plans for a training practice for trainee veterinary nurses.
A spokesperson for the practice said: “We pride ourselves on being able to offer the most up to date treatments and we believe in a holistic approach to treat all aspects of animal health and welfare.
