A MAN was ordered to abstain from consuming alcohol after admitting to assaulting a woman in Anglesey.
Thomas Riley, 35, of Beatrice Street, Oswestry, was accused of the following:
- Assaulting Lucy Jones by beating her in Menai Bridge on August 22, 2022.
- Failing to surrender to custody at Caernarfon Magistrates' Court on January 16.
He pleaded guilty to both offences at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on January 17.
Riley is to undertake a 35-day programme, complete a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity, and avoid alcohol for 60 days.
The court ordered him to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £114 victim surcharge.
This totalled £199, to be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.
An application was made for deductions from his benefits.
