The Celtic Advanced Life Science Innovation Network (CALIN) connects business, academia and healthcare with experts from six leading universities across Ireland and Wales. CALIN@Bangor University is hosting a FREE online event to support businesses to develop health and wellbeing in the workplace. Health and wellbeing is a key priority following the detrimental impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on physical and mental health. Businesses increasingly see the value of the health and wellbeing of their staff, as well as a desire to have a positive impact on society and in their workplace.
This free online event aims to support and encourage businesses to develop and improve their workplace strategy and practices, with workshop sessions presented by expert speakers from psychological, physiological and health perspectives on various aspects of wellbeing. Networking opportunities are provided to encourage businesses, academics, and healthcare experts to develop new collaborations and drive forward future innovation for established and prospective enterprises.
Professor John Parkinson from Bangor University says
"I am delighted that CALIN at Bangor University are hosting this exciting event. It’s a great opportunity for businesses across Wales and Ireland to make connections, and to benefit from current research-informed knowledge on health and wellbeing relevant to a broad range of industries."

Datblygu'r gweithle o safbwyntiau seicolegol, ffisiolegol ac iechyd.
Mae CALIN, y Rhwydwaith Gwyddor Bywyd Uwch, yn cysylltu busnes, y byd academaidd a gofal iechyd ag arbenigwyr o chwe phrifysgol flaenllaw yng Nghymru ac Iwerddon. Mae CALIN@Bangor yn cynnal digwyddiad ar-lein AM DDIM i gefnogi busnesau i ddatblygu iechyd a llesiant yn y gweithle. Mae iechyd a llesiant yn flaenoriaeth allweddol yn dilyn effaith andwyol pandemig COVID-19 ar iechyd corfforol a meddyliol. Yn gynyddol, mae busnesau’n gweld gwerth iechyd a llesiant eu staff, yn ogystal ag awydd i gael effaith gadarnhaol ar gymdeithas a'u gweithle.
Nod y digwyddiad ar-lein rhad ac am ddim hwn yw cefnogi ac annog busnesau i ddatblygu a gwella eu strategaeth a’u harferion gweithle, gyda sesiynau gweithdy yn cael eu cyflwyno gan siaradwyr arbenigol o safbwyntiau seicolegol, ffisiolegol ac iechyd ar amrywiol agweddau o lesiant. Darperir cyfleoedd rhwydweithio i annog busnesau, academyddion, ac arbenigwyr gofal iechyd i ddatblygu cydweithrediad newydd a sbarduno arloesedd yn y dyfodol i fentrau sefydledig a darpar-fentrau.
Meddai'r Athro John Parkinson o Brifysgol Bangor:
"Rwyf wrth fy modd bod CALIN ym Mhrifysgol Bangor yn cynnal y digwyddiad cyffrous hwn. Mae’n gyfle gwych i fusnesau ledled Cymru ac Iwerddon wneud cysylltiadau, ac elwa ar wybodaeth gyfredol sy’n cael ei llywio gan ymchwil ar iechyd a llesiant sy’n berthnasol i ystod eang o ddiwydiannau."
Ymunwch ag arbenigwyr mewn seicoleg, ffisioleg ac iechyd ar gyfer gweithdai, rhwydweithio ac ymgynghoriadau ar ddatblygu'r gweithle. Gall mynychwyr arddangos a hyrwyddo eu busnesau yn y digwyddiad, yn rhad ac am ddim, a derbyn canllawiau ymarferol o'r sesiynau gweithdy. Ar-lein 9am-5pm ddydd Mawrth 7 Chwefror, dydd Mercher 8 Chwefror, a dydd Iau 9 Chwefror 2023. Gellir mynychwyr ymuno a’r digwyddiad tair-diwrnod llawn neu dewis yr sesiynau sydd o ddiddordeb.
