A CONVICTED sex offender from Gwynedd was sentenced to prison after failing to comply with the register’s notification requirements.
Sam Dicken, 26, of Green Terrace, Trefor, was accused of failing, without reasonable excuse, to adhere to the register’s requirements through the following:
- Failing to notify police of passport details within three days of any change or renewal between September 9-12, 2021.
- Failing to complete the annual registration on November 16, 2022.
- Failing to notify the police no fewer than seven days in advance of any intended period of foreign travel at Southampton Ferry Port on May 22, 2022.
He gave indicated pleas of guilty to all three offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on January 16.
Dicken was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment.
