A WOMAN from Bangor was handed unpaid work after she admitted to making a call to 999 when there was no genuine emergency to report.
Wendy Jones, 49, of Tan Y Bryd Road, Maesgeirchen, was accused of making such a call on December 14, 2022, having had a criminal behaviour order prohibiting such actions imposed on her the previous day.
She gave an indicated plea of guilty at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on January 16.
Jones was sentenced to 80 hours’ unpaid work.
The court ordered her to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
