WORK is due to begin soon to repair a bridge in Caernarfon.
The Pont yr Aber swing bridge will, Gwynedd Council hopes, be able to re-open by the end of the month.
The council said: "Work to repair the bridge will start soon following a delay in securing new parts.
"Preparation work will be conducted on January 12 and 13, then the tides will allow for work on the bridge itself to be carried out on January 17.
"We hope to be able to reopen the bridge by the end of the month.
"We recognise the frustration the situation has caused local residents, businesses and visitors, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
