BEAUMARIS Rotary presented lifeboat volunteers with a cheque for £1,000.

In October 2022, the Rotary held its annual celebration of performing and visual arts. The event included performances by the Goronwy male voice choir, Benllech with special guest artiste the soprano Ellen Williams.

Representatives of the Rotary Beaumaris Hub visited the Beaumaris Lifeboat station to make the donation.

Kevin Sivyer, of the Rotary club, said: "In December, I was delighted to present a cheque for £1,000 to RNLI Beaumaris, on behalf of Beaumaris Rotary, as a result of the first ‘Autumn Arts’ event held in October 2022.

"I was joined by Rotarian Mike Davies and RNLI volunteers, including their Lifeboat Management Group chairman Paul Flower and Tim Bailey, the station Lifeboat Operations manager, who received the cheque on behalf of Beaumaris RNLI.

"Following the presentation, we witnessed the launch of the lifeboat on one of the regular training sessions.

"In recognition and appreciation of the work of the RNLI, Beaumaris Rotary has decided to make the organisation the main beneficiary of future ‘Autumn Arts’ events."

The next event is scheduled for the October 5 - 8 2023.
