YNYS Môn MP Virginia Crosbie has been adopted as the Conservative candidate for Anglesey at the next General Election.
A meeting last night confirmed she will fight for the seat on a platform of bringing millions in investment and jobs to the island.
It is believed to be the first readoption meeting in Wales.
“I remain honoured to be this fantastic island’s MP and I want to carry on my good work being the champion this island has sorely missed for many decades,” said Mrs Crosbie.
“Much has been achieved with investment in a hydrogen hub, the Inland Border Facility and RAF Valley but there is much to do.

“We will soon find out if my Freeport campaign will bring more jobs and investment and, of course, new nuclear power at Wylfa remains firmly in my sights.
“Thursday was my birthday and I can think of no better present than my Conservative Association having such confidence in me to keep Anglesey blue.”
North Wales Conservatives Deputy Chairman Bernard Gentry added: “Virginia Crosbie is the first Conservative MP in Wales to be readopted for the next General Election.
“Since being elected in 2019 she has worked tirelessly on behalf of the people of Anglesey and is very popular locally.
“Her early Readoption shows her strong commitment to Ynys Mon.”
