THE FIRST snows of winter have arrived, and have covered the areas around Snowdon.
The Snowdon Mountain Railway near the halfway point to the summit is blanketed in snow.
The Met Office had issued yellow ice warnings for all of North Wales from Wednesday (December 7) and through to today (9 December).
The Arctic air, dubbed the Trull of Trondheim was expected to leave most of the country in its grip by yesterday morning (December 8).
