NORTH Wales Police arrested four drivers suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol across Anglesey this weekend.
In what was a busy weekend for law enforcement, drugs were seized in a number of locations as five stop searches were made, with four of those arrested.
All four were released pending an investigation, and one has been charged to appear in court at a later date.
Officers conducted a warrant search of a property in Llanfaes, Beaumaris which resulted in drugs being seized, with an investigation underway.
A North Wales Police Anglesey spokesperson said: "We've had a busy weekend on the Island targeting people on the naughty list.
"On Friday we conducted a warrant in Llanfaes, Beaumaris, which resulted in drugs being seized. Our investigation continues.
"On Saturday officers on patrol stopped and searched a suspicious member of the public, which resulted in a quantity of drugs being found. His vehicle has been seized and a full investigation is underway.
"Officers stopped 5 drivers within 24hrs alone who were suspected to be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
"Four drivers were arrested and released under investigation, and one has been charged to attend court.
"We continue to target the naughty list throughout the week and would encourage anyone with concerns around drug use and supply to report information to police or anonymously via Crimestoppers."
