A MAN from Anglesey has been fined and banned from the roads after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
Raymond Davies, 62, of Llandrygan, Llanerchymedd, was accused of being in charge of a Vauxhall Combo vehicle on the A5 in Pentre Berw with 44 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath on September 30.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
He pleaded guilty at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on October 18.
Owen was ordered to pay a fine of £400, costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £160 victim surcharge.
This totalled £645, to be paid in monthly, £50 instalments from November 15.
He was disqualified from driving for 14 months, but this will be reduced by 14 weeks if he completes an obligatory course by July 10, 2023.
