A MAN from Bangor has been fined after pleading guilty to possessing Class C drugs.
Geno Maher, 50, of Caernarfon Road, was accused of possessing 175 tablets of diazepam and Rivotril (clonazepam) in the city on August 31, 2021.
He pleaded guilty at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on October 18.
Maher is to pay a fine of £80, as well as £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a £34 victim surcharge.
This totalled £199, to be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.
The tablets were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
An application was made by the court for deductions from Maher’s benefits.
