PLAID Cymru MP and MS for Dwyfor Meirionnydd, Liz Saville Roberts and Mabon ap Gwynfor, have called on mobile network providers to urgently restore phone signal in parts of their constituency.
These have remained severely disrupted following a thunderstorm two weeks ago.
People living in Criccieth and Llanystumdwy have reported being without mobile and Wi-Fi coverage for more than two weeks, with other areas also reporting a loss of network connection.
The MP and MS have called on all the main network providers to redouble efforts to restore mobile services and keep constituents fully informed of progress.
Other areas in the constituency reporting continuing problems with mobile signal include Morfa Bychan, Abererch, Chwilog, Rhoslan, Llwyngwril and Beddgelert.
In a joint statement, the MP and MS said: “Ever since we had a thunderstorm a few weeks ago, mobile signal in parts of our constituency has been severely disrupted, with some communities such as Criccieth and Pentrefelin reporting a complete loss of service.
“Constituents also tell us of network outages in Mynytho, Chwilog, Y Ffor, Abererch, Rhoslan, Beddgelert and Nanhoron. Some areas have gone from receiving a full 4G signal to no service at all.

“The situation is completely unacceptable, and we can understand the frustration felt by both local people and businesses.
“To compound matters, many are struggling to elicit information from network providers, who are less than forthcoming with their response.
“We call on all network providers to redouble their efforts to restore mobile signal to these communities as a matter of priority.
“These prolonged service outages are having a detrimental impact on local people and businesses. This is the last thing they need. This disruption has gone on long enough.
“We will maintain pressure on network providers to get the signal restored. This is important for personal convenience, confidence in our phone networks and for business productivity.”
