A WOMAN from Holyhead has received a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to assaulting a policeman in Bangor.
Maureen O’Brien, 34, of William Street, was accused of assaulting PC Scott Jones on the A4087 by beating him.
She pleaded guilty on September 17.
At Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on October 3, O’Brien was sentenced to four weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
O’Brien was said to have shown “intention to cause fear, including disease transmission”.
She is also to complete three months’ non-residential alcohol treatment, and a maximum of 15 days’ rehabilitation activity.
The court ordered her to pay compensation of £500, to be paid in monthly, £24 instalments from November 28.
