A MAN from Anglesey has been sentenced for assault and criminal damage after entering another man’s house as he slept.
Samuel Pritchard, 52, of Malltraeth Street, Newborough, appeared before Caernarfon Crown Court today (October 26), charged with actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
Pritchard admitted entering his victim’s home uninvited during the early hours of the morning on September 26, 2021 while his victim was sleeping, causing damage to his belongings and assaulting him, causing actual bodily harm.
He was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, and issued with a two-year restraining order.
Pritchard must also pay his victim £1,000 in compensation.

Following the sentencing, Amy Hall-Jones, of the Criminal Investigation Department, said: “This was a terrifying experience for the victim who was assaulted in the safety of their own home.
"We’re glad that the victim can be given some comfort and reassurance that his safety has been prioritised and the incident has been dealt with seriously.”
