PEOPLE aged seven to 25 are invited to a day of free activities in Bangor on Friday, November 4 inspired by “About Us”, an event which took place in earlier this year in Caernarfon.
The event, accompanied by stunning projections and choirs, took audiences on a journey through history, from the Big Bang to the present day.
Commissioned as part of “UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK”, the show, which can be seen on YouTube, was created by award-winning event company 59 Productions, The Poetry Society and Stemettes, who offer training and support for young women and non-binary to get into STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) careers.

Stemettes are now running “About Us Now”; free, interactive “STEAM” (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) events offering a range of activities, including 3D modelling, illustration, HTML, and fun with maths for the whole family.
Those attending will be able to try out animation, motion graphics and architectural design with help from 59 Productions, and there will be poetry sessions with The Poetry Society.
Each activity will be linked to the theme of connectivity and the universe and will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about STEAM roles and opportunities in their community.
They will also celebrate the work created by the winners of the Stemettes Scratch coding competition.
