A MAN from Bangor has been jailed after pleading guilty to two counts of theft from a supermarket in the city.
Kelvin Haughton, 38, of Love Lane, was accused of the following:
- Stealing red wine worth £7.50 from Morrisons, Holyhead Road on September 6.
- Stealing Sherry wine worth £7.50 from Morrisons, Holyhead Road on September 10.
- Assaulting Steven Haughton by beating him in Benllech on September 10.
He pleaded guilty to both counts of theft, but issued no plea to the assault, at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on September 12.

Kelvin Haughton was handed a 12-week concurrent prison sentence.
This was due to the offences being committed during the operational period of his suspended sentence.
Though the offence of assault was dismissed after no evidence was offered, he received a restraining order on his acquittal.
Until September 11, 2024, Kelvin Haughton must not:
- Contact Steven Haughton by any means whatsoever.
- Attend a specified Benllech address.
