A WOMAN from Anglesey has received a suspended sentence after she pleaded guilty to breaching her criminal behaviour order by dialling 999 unnecessarily.
Anita Jones, 37, of Dwyran, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, was accused of telephoning the emergency services on September 11, despite there being no such emergency.
She had been prohibited from doing so by a criminal behaviour order made by Mold Magistrates’ Court on May 20, 2020.
Jones pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on September 12.
The court sentenced her to 26 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
Her sentence was sentenced due to her working well with probation.
But it was felt such a penalty was justified due to the seriousness of the offence, and her previous convictions and “disregard for court orders”.
Jones is also to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £154 victim surcharge.
This amounted to a total of £239, which she will pay as a lump sum within 28 days.
An application was made for deductions from Jones’ benefits.
