A CINEMA in Gwynedd is to provide a live broadcast of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday (September 19).
The Magic Lantern cinema, in Tywyn, will be otherwise closed on Monday, which has been declared a bank holiday.
The Queen died aged 96 on Thursday, September 8 after 70 years on the throne; the longest-reigning morning in British history.
Her state funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday at 11am, after which her coffin will be taken to St George’s Chapel, Windsor for a committal service.
A statement from The Magic Lantern said: “Our programmed screening for Monday, September 19 will be cancelled.
"The Magic Lantern will be open from 10am for anyone wishing to join together to watch a screening of the funeral.
"The Magic Lantern remains open as usual on all other days."
The screening will be free, with no need to book - people are welcome to just turn up on the day.
