A MAN from Bangor has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to carrying an offensive weapon and causing criminal damage to a car in the city.
Mark Jones, 44, of Belmont Street, was accused of possessing a knuckle duster, and of damaging a white BMW vehicle belonging to Cara Jones, on June 8.
He pleaded guilty to both offences at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on September 1.

Jones was jailed for two weeks.
This was deemed justifiable due to the nature of the weapon Jones carried, and the fact he was a serving prisoner on recall.
He is to pay a £128 victim surcharge in full by November 20, while the knuckle duster was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
