A MAN from Llanfairfechan has been fined and banned from the roads after pleading guilty to drug-driving in Bangor.
Daniel Elmer, 29, of Pendalar, was accused of driving a Vauxhall vehicle on the A55 in Bangor on May 27 with more than 17.5 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana).
He pleaded guilty at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on September 5.
Elmer was fined £461, and disqualified from driving for a year.
He is also to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £46 victim surcharge.
This total of £592 is to be paid in monthly, £50 instalments from October 4.
