A MAN from Holyhead is to serve a ban from the roads and carry out unpaid work after pleading guilty to committing two driving offences in the town.
Peter Hughes, 34, of Cleveland Crescent, was accused of driving a Citroen Dispatch van while disqualified and without third party insurance at the town’s Asda supermarket car park and on Old Post Road on May 18.
He pleaded guilty to both offences at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on August 15.
Hughes was disqualified from driving for 69 months.
The court ordered him to complete 100 hours’ unpaid work by August 14, 2023.
He is to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £95 victim surcharge.
This amounted to a total of £180, which Hughes is to pay as a full lump sum within 28 days.
An application was made by the court for deductions from Hughes’ benefits.
