A MAN from Gwynedd has been fined and banned from the roads after pleading guilty to drink-driving and possession of a Class A drug.
Michael Anderson, of Bwlchtocyn, was accused of the following in Pwllheli on June 16:
- Possessing a quantity of cocaine.
- Driving a Vauxhall Astra vehicle on Ala Road with 46 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
He pleaded guilty to both offences at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on August 4.

Anderson was fined £700, and disqualified from driving for 14 months.
This disqualification period will be reduced by 14 weeks should he complete an obligatory course by April 27, 2023.
The court also ordered that the cocaine be forfeited and destroyed.
Anderson is also to pay a £280 victim surcharge, making a total payment of £980.
He is to pay this in monthly instalments of £100 from September 1.
