A walker was airlifted to hospital on August 14, after suffering from heat exhaustion near a lake in Snowdonia.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation were called out to reports of a woman with heat exhaustion near Llyn Caseg Fraith.
The woman was in a group of four, and had run out of water and become ill in the piercing heat.
An Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation spokesperson said: “The team were called out mid-afternoon to reports of a female walker with heat exhaustion near Llyn Caseg Fraith.
“Part of a group of four, she had run out of water and, unable to shelter from the heat, had become ill.
“Two team members carrying extra water were about to deploy but R936, the Coastguard helicopter, was training nearby and was requested to assist.
“The casualty was lifted and flown straight to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor for treatment.”
