A MAN who failed to register as a sex offender after being freed from Berwyn jail at Wrexham has been sentenced to 16 weeks in custody.
Nicholas Evans, 34, of no fixed address, admitted failing to notify his address and damaging a police vehicle at Bangor.
He also admitted failing to comply with post-sentence supervision.
The probation service said he had a poor history of compliance with supervision.
Graham Parry, defending, told a district judge at Llandudno court that Evans had been meant to stay at a Rhyl hotel although he had no connection with the town.
He went to Bangor instead until police found him.
