A RESIDENT of Gwynedd has been banned from the roads and fined after pleading guilty to two counts of drug-driving.
Robat Jones, 34, of Clynnog Fawr, was accused of the following while driving a Volkswagen vehicle on North Quay, Pwllheli on April 15:
• Driving with 6.1 micrograms per litre of blood of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana).
• Driving with a possession of cannabis.

Jones pleaded guilty to both offences at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on August 1.
The court disqualified Jones from driving for 36 months, and issued Jones with a £200 fine.
Jones is also to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 victim surcharge.
This amounted to a total of £319, to be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.
An application was also made by the court for deductions from Jones’ benefits.
