A PAIR of men who were found guilty of theft from stores in North Wales have received prison and suspended sentences.
Thomas Ward, 34, of Paddington Avenue, Manchester and John Ward, 38, of Orton Road, Manchester were both accused of stealing batteries worth £378.48 from Aldi, Garth Road, Bangor on July 30.
John Ward was also accused of stealing a make-up kit from Boots in Parc Llandudno on the same date.
Thomas Ward was also accused of the following:
• Stealing pyjamas worth £79 from Home Bargains, Bolton on November 28, 2021.
• Stealing a Karcher vacuum cleaner worth £100 from Halfords, Bolton on December 10, 2021.
• Stealing a box batteries worth £189 and a cushion worth £9 from Aldi, Bolton on December 23, 2021.
Both men were found guilty of all of their respective offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on August 1.

Thomas Ward was handed a 26-week concurrent prison sentence.
John Ward was sentenced to 14 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
He is also to pay £428.48 in compensation, to be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.
