A MAN from Gwynedd has been sentenced to prison after he was found guilty of common assault of a policeman and of stalking.
Liam Owen, 28, of Bro Gwylwyr Estate, Nefyn, was accused of assaulting PC Iwan Jones by beating him in Pwllheli on July 14, and of stalking Natalie Williams between July 1 and 14 in Gwynedd.
He pleaded guilty to both offences at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on July 16.
Mr Owen also committed these offences during the operation period of a suspended sentence order.

He was sentenced to a total of 49 weeks’ imprisonment.
This is comprised of 26 weeks for assault, 16 weeks for stalking, and seven weeks for the activation of his suspended sentence.
He was also handed a restraining order, prohibiting him from contacting Williams by any means whatsoever, or from entering a specific Pwllheli address, until July 18, 2027.
No costs were imposed on Mr Owen.
