Aldi will be opening the doors to its much-anticipated new store on Caernarfon Road, Bangor, this month.
The brand-new store will open its doors for the first time on Thursday, July 28, where customers will be greeted with special discounts and promotional offers throughout the day.
After receiving planning permission in December 2019, Aldi has been working hard behind the scenes to deliver its new Caernarfon Road store for Bangor.

Once open, the store will replace the existing Garth Road store with a larger, modernised food store transforming the shopping experience for the local community. Our Garth Road store will close permanently on the evening of Wednesday, July 27.
Tom Smith, store manager, said: “Our new store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers so they can see it for themselves. There will be many promotions in store on the opening day including some of our Specialbuys at a reduced price.”
As part of Aldi’s investment in local communities across the UK, the opening of the new store has ensured the protection of the 27 existing jobs in the Garth Road store by relocating them to the new store, as well as creating a further ten full-time positions.
All will be paid £10.10 per hour as a minimum.
The store will offer fresh, British meat products with weekly offers and Aldi’s award winning ‘Specially Selected’ range. Aldi’s legendary Specialbuys will also be available in the middle aisle, every Thursday and Sunday, offering extraordinary value on a wide range of products, from electrical items to garden tools.
The new store has been developed to make shopping easier for the customers with wider aisles and clearer signs which vastly improve the customer experience. The new store opening hours will be Monday to Saturday, 8am to 10pm, and on Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
