THE CHEAPEST places to get unleaded petrol in Anglesey, Bangor and Caernarfon have been revealed as prices near £2 per litre.
The average cost of filling a typical family car with petrol could soon exceed £100 for the first time in the UK.
The average price of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts rose marginally from 186.9p per litre on June 20 to 190.9p on Monday, 27 June, according to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
That is an increase of 4p in just a week.
The cheapest places for petrol are:
Gulf Gaerwen – 188.0p
Asda Llangefni – 189.7p
Asda Bangor – 189.7p
Jet Holyhead – 189.9p
BP Bangor – 189.9p
Essar Holyhead – 190.9p
The most expensive places for petrol are:
Shell Menai Bridge – 194.9p
Texaco Pentraeth – 193.9p
Texaco Beaumaris – 192.9p
Tesco Extra Bangor – 191.9p
Tesco Holyhead – 191.9p
Morrisons Holyhead – 191.9p
