A MAN from Llanberis has been jailed and handed a restraining order after he was found guilty of obstructing a policewoman and stalking.
Gethin Ellis, 30, of High Street, was accused of sending Melanie Edwards unwanted messages and turning up at her home address in Gwynedd between June 18-20.
He was also accused of obstructing PC Elen Chidley in Caernarfon on June 21.
Mr Ellis pleaded guilty to both offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on June 22.

He received a 16-week concurrent prison sentence.
He is also not to contact Edwards directly or indirectly, save for child contact to be arranged via a third party, or enter a specified Gwynedd address, until June 21, 2028.
A third offence, of assaulting PC Chidley with intent to avoid arrest on June 21 in Caernarfon, was withdrawn.
