THE CHEAPEST places to get unleaded petrol in Anglesey, Bangor and Caernarfon have been revealed as motorists are warned that average fuel prices will hit £2 per litre this summer.
The average cost of filling a typical family car with petrol could soon exceed £100 for the first time in the UK.
The average price of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts rose marginally from 175.0p per litre on June 6 to 182.5p on Monday, 13 June, according to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
That is an increase of 7.5p in just a week.
The cheapest places for petrol are:
Asda Bangor – 183.9p
Texaco Llangefni – 184.9p
Texaco Pentraeth – 184.9p
Texaco Beaumaris – 184.9p
Tesco Extra Bangor – 184.9p
The most expensive places for petrol are:
Essar Holyhead – 193.9p
Tesco Holyhead – 191.9p
Esso Bangor – 190.9p
Jet Holyhead – 189.9p
Shell Caernarfon – 189.9p
