A MET Office yellow warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Gwynedd this afternoon (June 3).
The warning is in place until 6pm today.
The Met Office says slow-moving thunderstorms could lead to some surface water flooding and disruption.
The warning added: “Thunderstorms, slow-moving near the coast in particular, will continue to produce locally very heavy rain, hail and lightning before easing.
“20-30mm of rain possible within an hour and as much as 40-50mm in one to two hours.
What to expect:
• Some flooding of a few homes and businesses likely, leading to some damage to buildings or structures.
• Probably some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes.
• There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.
• Some short term loss of power and other services is likely.
