GWYNEDD North Police attended the Bangor African and Caribbean Centre to celebrate World Africa Day.
The Centre was opened by the North Wales Africa Society (NWAS) last year, having successfully secured the High Street rental property thanks to the Covid-19 BAME Support Grant from Comic relief and the BAWSO Charity.
The aim of the centre is to build community links and advocacy for the black community in Gwynedd and Anglesey.
Inspector Arwel Hughes and PC Becci Harrison were invited to the celebration in Bangor to mark the first anniversary of the Centre.
Inspector Hughes said: “It was a great opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year and with our partners Bangor arts initiative, North Wales Regional Equality Network (NWREN), Race Equality First, BAWSO, Betsi Cadwaladr, BLAS, Pontio, Hub Cymru Africa, Adult Learning Wales.
“As always, we enjoyed a warm welcome and some great food.”
