TWO Gwynedd police officers took part in a running challenge for UNICEF in April.
PC Dylan Pritchard and PC Owain Edwards embarked on the tough and inspiring task, encompassing the five secondary schools that they cover into their route as they raised more than £5,000.
The schools supported the officers by participating in a non-uniform day as the pair made their way on the gruelling almost 30km run.
The run started from Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, Caernarfon, running to Ysgol Brynrefail, Llanrug, over to Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen, Bethesda (which included going over Deiniolen and Mynydd Llandygai), then down to Bangor to Ysgol Tryfan and finishing in Ysgol Friars by the last bell.

PC Dylan Pritchard said: “It was really tough going at times, but nothing compared to what the children who have been affected by the terrible conflict are currently going through.
“The response we have had from the pubic, friends, family and especially the schools have been fantastic, and I would like to thank each and every person who has helped and donated.”
So far, they have raised more £5,718 for UNICEF UK, and you can donate to their cause here.
