A MAN from Llanberis has been ordered to pay in excess of £1,000 and undertake unpaid work after he was found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to two protected animals.
Samuel Hill, 28, of Dolbadarn Hotel, was accused of not providing a suitable diet of adequate nutritional value, and not addressing the weight loss and poor bodily conditions, of two Labradors, Alexa and Finley.
This was between August 15 and September 7, 2021.
Mr Hill gave an indicated guilty plea on April 20.

On May 16, Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court ordered him to pay costs of £1,000, as well as a £95 victim surcharge.
Of the total sum of £1,095, he is to pay £100 per month, commencing June 16.
Mr Hill is also to complete 100 hours of unpaid work within the next year, and must comply with any instructions given by his responsible officer in that same time frame.
He was also banned from owning or keeping any animals, with no application for the termination of this order able to be made within the first year of it being enforced.
